Formal informatics education sucks
In Romania, the students are license hunters not knowledge hunters.
Everybody wants a piece of paper with his name and picture on it.
In the exams, cheating is a rule, not an exception.
A college graduated is a man who knows the table of contents without getting into details.
I know this because some of my colleagues are in college now.
Very relaxed.
In Bucharest, the software developers are in a perpetual job search
The turnover is high.
Even in case of good programmers, there is a time to fit him in the project.
This is bad for big projects.
In Bucharest, the software outsourcing is not cheap
The salaries got bigger because of:
- the high turnover
- in Bucharest, the expenses are bigger than in a country city.
It is normal.
Rent in a decent place is aroung 300 euro / month.
